An extract from the VaughanyDJs musical diary
Adam and Adrian tell us what has been happening so far...

Well it’s been a long time but the new look XpressDJs.com is finally here! Over the last two months we've been very busy, we've been to the sonar festival in Barcelona, warmed up for Lucien Foort in our first main room set at the Honey Club, got extremely intoxicated and rained on at Brighton Pride, watched my dads car implode on itself, swallowed my tongue piercing and break a set of headphones mid set whilst DJing! Not a bad couple of months!

The Xpressiv Sessions on ssradiouk.com is going from strength to strength with Richard Young assisting with the show every month. The Xpressiv Sessions is aired every two weeks on Saturdays between 17:00 and 19:00 on the Tuff and Twisted channel. The Xpressiv Sessions is also available as a podcast via iTunes or by subscribing via the Xpressiv Sessions page on the ssradiouk.com website (Xpressiv Sessions at ssradiouk.com) make sure you check it out and subscribe to the perfect start to your Saturday nights out!

Recently at the Honey Club in Brighton we rocked the warm up in the Main Room before Lucien Foort jumped on and carried on the party. We also came very close to warming up for Eddie Halliwell on the 1st August, but we’re back in the Main room once more on the 22nd of August when Dusted meets Sevensins, Tom De Neef will be headlining with us and David Godding in support. We’ll also be tearing up the side room with a blend of funky tunes and club classics with dates to be confirmed in August so watch this space!

We also went on a trip to Barcelona in June and attended the Sonar Festival. Orbital, Deadmau5 and Beardyman were some of the well known acts to perform. Unfortunately we missed a lot of them due to being too hung-over from the night before but from what we saw, the only remotely interesting thing at the festival was when we had a quick go on the dodgems. Radio One’s Rob Da Bank was churning out some interesting mixes but unfortunately we were so fed up and disappointed by the whole event we left fairly quickly. It’s not the same as Global Gathering....
